Hotel Information
What time is check-in / checkout?
Standard check-in time is 3:00pm EST and check-out time is 11:00am EST. Early check-in is accessible pending room availability. If the option for early check-in is not available, our Bell Team is happy to hold the guest's belongings while they explore the city until check-in. For late check-out requests we kindly recommend that guests inquire at the Front Office on the eve of their departure to confirm if this option is available.
How far is the hotel located from the airport?
Does the hotel provide a shuttle to or from the airport?
The hotel does not provide a shuttle to or from the airport. We recommend renting a car or taking a taxi. The taxi fare is approximately $45.00 each way from LGA and EWR and $80.00 each way from JFK.
There is a new LIRR train at Grand Central Madison station, which goes to the JFK AirTrain in Jamaica, making it easy to get from the East side to JFK Airport.
How much is overnight parking?
Valet parking at the hotel for a standard vehicle is $85.00 plus taxes for 24 hours and $120.00 plus taxes for 36 hours with no in or out privileges. SUV/oversized vehicles are $105.00 plus taxes for 24 hours and $140.00 plus taxes for 36 hours with no in or out privileges.
For self-parking, the hotel recommends PARKWHIZ.

Do you accept packages to the Hotel? Are there any package and handling costs?
Yes, we accept packages at the Hotel.
Please make sure to include the name of the guest(s), arrival date and hotel confirmation number on the label.
For groups/events, please make sure to include group name, events manager name and event date.

Does the hotel offer rollaway beds?
Yes, we offer rollaway beds for $75 daily, only applicable to certain room types and subject to availability.
Does the hotel offer connecting rooms?
Connecting rooms are based upon availability with multiple room type variations. We will do everything possible to honor requests for connecting rooms.
Is the hotel pet friendly?
Yes, we welcome pets under 50 lbs with a limit to one pet per guest room. There is a non-refundable $250.00 deposit cleaning fee for each pet stay.
Will the hotel receive packages prior to my arrival?
Yes, the hotel will receive packages prior to a guest's arrival. There is a fee and that will vary depending on the size of the package. Please email barclay@ihg.com to inquire about pricing.
What size beds are in Double Rooms?
Our rooms with two double beds are full-size beds measuring 75-inch x 53-inch (190.5cm x 134.5cm).
Can I send an amenity to a guest room?
Yes, please peruse our digital Amenity Catalog and you can complete a Amenity Form to order what you would like to send to a guest.
What public transportation (trains/subways) are nearby?
The InterContinental New York Barclay is located on the corner of 48th and Lexington Ave, just 3 blocks away from the 6 subway line on 51st and Lexington Ave. Two blocks further to 53rd and Lexington Ave are the E and M subway lines. For trains, on the corner of 48th and Park Ave there is an entrance to Grand Central Station.
Do you have minibars in your guestrooms?
Yes, we have minibars in all of our guestrooms. Take a look at our menu.
How do I book an event or group block at the hotel?

How do I make a restaurant reservation?
Can I film and photograph here?
In order to protect the privacy of our guests, we do not allow any professional photography or videography in the hotel's public spaces without prior written permission from the hotel. Is InterContinental New York Barclay a family-friendly destination?
We love welcoming family travelers to InterContinental New York Barclay and our Midtown East location is nearby to numerous exciting attractions to enjoy in Manhattan with kids. The hotel offers several different room types and connecting rooms to choose from, accommodating your family’s needs. Children under 12 stay free, so long as they are sharing a room with their parents.
Is smoking allowed at the hotel?
The Hotel is a smoke free building in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. Violation of the Hotel’s smoking policy in guest room(s) will result in a cleaning fee of $500.00 per room and will be charged to each individual.
Do you have cribs available at the hotel?
Yes, we have metal cribs available upon request. Please reach out to Exceptional Service by dialing "0" in your room or email Barclayres@ihg.com to put in your request prior to your arrival.
What is your cancellation policy for room reservations?
Guests have until seventy-two (72) hours prior to check-in to cancel their reservations, free of charge. If the reservation is cancelled within seventy-two (72) hours, a penalty equal to a one-night stay will be charged.
Is there a fitness center onsite?
We have a newly renovated fitness center, located on our third floor, available for all hotel guests only.

Do you offer Kosher meals?
The hotel is not a Kosher facility, but we can partner with an outside caterer for Kosher related events. Additional fees will apply. Please inquire for more details by emailing barclaygs@ihg.com.
Is it possible to host multiple events at the hotel?
It is possible to host multiple events at the hotel. We are happy to check our availability and send you a proposal completed with dates and pricing. Please contact barclaygs@ihg.com to connect with our team.
When should a couple book the rehearsal dinner venue? How far in advance?
To ensure availability and to have enough preparation time, we always suggest to find and book a venue at your earliest opportunity.
Do you provide wedding guest transportation?
We do not have wedding guest transportation readily onsite, but our Concierge Team is readily available to arrange for any transportation needs.
